Joe is leading a one-day stone landscaping workshop at the Black Mountain Center for Arts on Saturday, June 23, 2012.
Participants will help complete the drystone sitting wall adjacent to the Center's pottery studio. One-day workshops consist of 1/2-day classroom presentation and worksheets, and 1/2-day hands-on construction. The workshop is from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., regardless of weather.
It will cover history, methodology, safety, tool selection and use, and formulas for figuring the time and materials you will need to complete your own project. Please bring safety glasses, snug-fitting work gloves, a tape measure, a stone hammer, lunch and beverage, and measurements for projects you are considering. Cost of this one-day workshop is $100.
