Drystone Joe is leading a 5-day stone retaining wall restoration workshop at the Black Mountain Center for Arts in Black Mountain, North Carolina during the week of April 7-11, 2014.
The workshop will include classroom activities & hands-on restoration of a stone retaining wall on the grounds of the Black Mountain Center for the Arts. We will cover history, methodology, safety, tool selection and use, and formulas for figuring the time and materials you will need to complete your own project. Please bring safety glasses, snug-fitting work gloves, a tape measure, a stone hammer, and measurements for projects you are considering. Cost of this one-week workshop is $350.
